Here at BI WORLDWIDE, we practise what we preach and honestly believe in the Power of Points—allowing users to issue points to colleagues as a thank you. Offering reward in this way isn’t only supported by our behavioural science (peer-to-peer reward and recognition platforms are cited as an effective way to tap into the science of neurobiology and the feelgood factor), it can also be a pivotal way to support in the cost-of-living crisis being felt within the UK and across EMEA. Ciara’s Story

On 24th December 2019, I announced that I was pregnant following a very lucky IVF journey. The world then went into crisis at an unfortunate time; having a baby during a global pandemic and full-blown lockdown was really difficult and meant we couldn’t share our happiness with our friends and family. 

My daughter Luna eventually met our local loved ones from a distance and with covered smiles, which is a strange thing for a baby to have to get used to. To top it off, my wife’s family all live in Sweden, which meant they didn’t get to meet Luna until she was 15 months old… and that’s where BI WORLDWIDE came to the rescue! 

I was able to use my points to purchase flights to Sweden the moment the border opened and share our beautiful family the way we should have been able to months before. The trip was momentous and is a memory we’ll never forget. When I think about it, I remember how grateful I was to have had those points to cover that considerable expense I was struggling to justify in hard times.

Katrina’s Story

I basically furnished my entire house using points! 

I was a first-time buyer and had absolutely nothing… I managed to get wardrobes, chest of drawers, a bed, a sofa and more. It not only meant that I could make my house a home, but it also took the financial strain off furnishing my home out of the very expensive new house-buying process.

Beatrice’s Story

It has taken a while for me to gather enough points to redeem these, as I only started at the end of last year. Then the Go BIG for Summer Incentive happened where we got the chance to not only earn points, but to give points to our colleagues – it was great!

Having earned enough points, I was keen to spend them. I’d been working with my team on launching a Sustainability Range for the Rewards Catalogue. Then, following our company conference and the very encouraging and informative presentation from Ellie at ISLA, I thought I’d treat myself to a Soda Stream, stopping me from buying sparkling water in plastic bottles (which I do recycle, but still feel awful about buying).
